Only in the public sector do employees get away with this sort of thing. If you work for a private company and you behave in a way that makes the company look bad - even once - you're fired. Period. But cops are allowed to shame the state at every opportunity and cause real harm to people, and still get off with "temporary leave". We the people of the United States need to start holding the people who work for us - police, public servants, elected officials - accountable.

Wait, what excuse did the officer have for doing this?! What rules did he say you were breaking?
It just goes to show that positions of authority & power very often attract the sort of people who should NEVER have authority or power!
America has become a fascist police-state, and they want young girls like this to grow up thinking it's normal for jack-booted thugs to intimidate you into doing whatever they say. It's time for a revolution, folks.

The future of America continues to look bright! Well done, ladies. :)

How does it make sense to have such bogus rules in an Assembly area. Transparency will save us all.

That was sure a cute doodle - not at all a political sign or anything. What little girl doesn't draw a large, colorful, marker drawing on her class notes that says "FIRST AMENDMENT - FREEDOM OF SPEECH"? At least there aren't clearly posted rules saying "no signs are to be displayed" ... oh, there are.

That's some civics lesson alright!!

That is like saying all protesters are violent anarchist thugs. Wisconsin Police were wonderful during our protests in March-April. I agree there definitely are some, not all, that are like you describe but overall they are men and women that want to serve the public. Some of State patrol and some of the Capital police have their issues. Hard to stand up to orders when you have a family to feed and bills to pay. The may come day when they will have to take a stand risk their livelihood.

Remember, kids, law enforcement officers are NOT caring and empathetic individuals. They should be avoided at all times unless in cases of extreme emergency. The rank and file of policing is filled with belligerent egomaniacs bristling with sociopathic tendencies which means your life is actually in danger when around these types of individuals.
Never offer support of any kind to law enforcement. Always avoid them.
Smart girls. You should be a really proud dad. We WILL prevail.

Wisconsin is out of control. These girls are so sweet. Shame on Walker and his people. They have no idea what they are doing.
