1) People tend to find the orchestrations lacking. 2) the solo works are more accessible, easier to actually perform. There are other reasons, but those two are more understandable than others. I remember the first time I heard one of his concertos on the radio; I knew it was him as long as the piano was playing; in the tuttis I doubted it, but then the piano would come back and it was obviously Chopin again. :D

The first time I heard this piece it was in a midi format and I have to say that even in its monodynamic state it struck me as the most beautiful piece I have ever heard and I would listened to it daily even as a midi file, so after hearing a real recording... well its only natural for one to cry... I didn't, but it was... it was something
