With financial reform finally within reach, the GOP (led by Senators Richard Shelby and Mitch McConnell) is once again declaring that no Republicans will be voting for this bill. They claim that after a year and a half of negotiations, there still isn't enough bipartisanship. Mike Papantonio appears on Fox Business's Happy Hour to talk about why the Democrats need to ignore the GOP and press on with financial reform.

  • What Monica Crowley really means by "The Republicans are just saying..." is "What Fox News just wants you to think..." lol

Moreover, what "rush" is she talking about? It took a year to get Healthcare reform passed. Yet she rushes herself to proclaim the Stimulus a failure based on a report by a center right group when just last night Ford is reporting profits. They want to assign all the blame but none of the credit. These people - and Monica Crowley - are shameless partisan hacks.

  • The Federal Reserve isn't govt., its a private institution.

  • Hey, at least there's a variation on 'ram down our throats". Now FOX chooses "force feed". Bill Clinton was/is an evil genius. Selling off our air waves was, in my opinion, his most egreious act. Though I label myself a 'progressive' I never voted for him and never would've voted for Hillary.

  • CRISIS, your baby is walking out on the busy 4-lane roadway , don't panic no need to RUSH out and do something about it right now... lol... idiot! RATpublicans are with the democrats on 0%

The "Sub-Prime Disaster" is only the tip of the iceburg or the Government would have bought those mortgages and solved the whole problem, it's a distraction! There is a much much bigger problem here!
