  • Will the Nexaira work with android too

  • @tstanfield111 Nexaira is actually now out of business, so you'd want to look at either the Cradlepoint or Pepwave Suf On The Go for phone support. Most newer phones don't tether and rely on WiFi as WAN by using the hotspot feature on your Android phone.

  • i have a full signal with -51 dBm which is very good i think? i live in a rural area and i use a usb modem from verizon its 3g and have it plugged into a cradlepoint mbr 1000. Is it pretty safe to say i should try to almost always have the modem on a usb extension cable away from the router? will that help reduce lag spikes and maybe help the connection remain stable in general? or is that just the tower being congested and slowing me down?

  • @NostromosGaming The USB extension is really only necessary on the newer 3G/4G modems to help with the speed. If your getting some lag spikes on occasion that's likely an issue with congestion at the cellular tower.

  • I have a ATT 4G elevate I get 3 bars on blacks ops do I need a router to fix the NAT type and which do you perfer???

  • @B0N3432 The Elevate has a secondary firewall so you can use it with a WiFi as WAN router, but you'll still have issues with the Nat type. If you just got it I'd recommend swapping the Elevate for a USBConnect Momentum 4G and purchase a router. This will allow you to custom configure it and fix the Nat issue.

  • Do you think this will work with my tethered android

  • @levi420100 Sure, as long as you've got either 3G or 4G at the location. Feel free to send us an email at sales[a]3gstore[dot]com and we can go over some of the different options that may be available for you.
