There is so much discussion on the law and faith, so thought I'd share this chapter of Galatians 3, uninhibited by comments or thoughts of others or my own.

At the end of the chapter I ask two questions, if you feel you have the answer feel free to post a comment:)

  • The only way it leads back to him Frank, is not by keeping it, but by realizing that you are a sinner and are a lawbreaker...and that you need a Saviour.

Righteousness cannot come by way of the law..it was given to show you unrighteous...that you cannot get to heaven by way of the law...You need to be made justified through the precious blood of Jesus.

He alone is your key..faith apart from the law according to the bible.

  • Yahweh's teaching (torah, law, comandment, instruction) can most certainly lead one back to Father Yahweh.

  • No, righteous does not come from Yahshua Messiah but, by his (and our) Father Yahweh.

  • Any righteousness we have must come from Christ, Frank...our own is filthy rags...nothing you do can gain you righteousness...the law just shows you how far you've come from God..not the way to lead you back.

Jesus only can lead you back..Only he can save you and covers you with his righteousness...and on another video I've already given the verses

But Read Ephesians 2:5-9....and Eph 1:13...there are more but I'll leave it at that for now.

  • In none of these passages does it teach "that you are righteous the moment you believe and that you are sealed the moment that you believe before any works are completed." Note that in Ephesians 1:3 alone hearing the word of truth, the glad tidings of redemption comes first and that there is no specific time span mentioned between this and believing. So it can not be said that you are righteous THE MOMENT YOU BELIEVE or that you are sealed with the spirit THE MOMENT YOU BELIEVE.

  • Right the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and through that truth comes faith.

  • Belief ('faith") comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Yahweh (Romans 10:17).

In that order! Yahweh's word came first!

  • Frank

    Let me ask this,

at what point are you considered good enough in God's eyes to be sealed? After you've kept the law for 24 hours..if you've kept 4 out of the ten.

At what point have you done enough to earn favor with God?

Because the bible says our righteousness is as filthy rags and that there is none that doeth good save God.

Only God is good, only God could have paid the penalty for you. Only God can redeem you from your sins and make you whole..Not by what you've done, only him

  • Eph 1:13 In whom ye also [trusted], after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise

Gal 3:2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Here it says you are sealed when you believe...the second offers a question, when did a person receive the Spirit..after they did works, or by the hearing of faith.

    Answer is Faith..belief

  • Again, there is no such teaching in Scripture that you are righteous the moment you believe and that you are sealed the moment that you believe before any works are completed. Redemption is most certainly a free gift from Yahweh but, one must find favor ("grace") with Father Yahweh because of obeidience to His teaching. One most certainly does not find favor with Father Yahweh when one disobeys His teaching.
