this look's exactly like my dads roadrunner except he has a mini tub with 12 inch mickey thopmson street slik's and 6 inch in the front, with a dana 660 rear end with wheely bars, and it's bored out from a 440 to a 500, and by the way nice car
Agreed on that TBConl. All the cars had their own options, you could get a Hemi in a Road Runner if you wanted to. Those 67's are sharp looking cars, and they can certainly hold their own on and off the track.
@MXtreme89 beg to differ on the Satellite base model. I had a 67- 383, and it was loaded up. Out ran most RR, and light to light it held it own with the GTX's, but not top end, or quarter mile. It was a great car light to light. I guess you could get one at a base model, but can't remember back that far. I think they called the Satellite, the "gentlemans" car. I just remember it bitting and running.
Great Car. I Love the 71's. I own a Black 71 440-6, 4 spd car all matching numbers. I love the color, very unique for a 71. Nice Car Guy, Thanks for sharing!
The GTX was supposed to be the higher-class of the Road Runner. Usually was loaded with all the options and costed more. The Road Runner was the mid-range model aimed towards the younger crowd, and the base-model economy version was the Satellite.
