is the canon xl2 an hd camera?

Hi,

the canon produces 720p x 576, 16 by 9 which is pretty close to DVD quality but not as High Definition like some other cameras out there at the moment...I personally prefer it because it has a film like look when captured at 25fps.

What program did you use to edit this? I like the shake effect you use several times, the one you see at the ending of the video.

All the editing was done in premier. Color Correction with magic bullet and effects were done in after effects. The XL2 has been a great camera for me..reall worth the money. Looking to upgrade now with a 35mm adapter for more DOF and i think i will be adding a glidecam smooth shooter soon also.
