For more than a century, the ship and its contents laid undisturbed, frozen in time. However, with the invention and popularization of scuba gear during the 1950s and 1960s, this suddenly changed. In the mid-1960s, divers discovered the remains of the Niagara. For more than two decades, treasure hunters and salvagers thoroughly stripped artifacts and fittings from what was probably Wisconsin's greatest treasure trove of nineteenth century cultural artifacts. Rumors tell of entire crates of unbroken china and other artifacts being hauled off to the garages of Wisconsin and Illinois. Unfortunately, the knowledge that could have been gained by studying those artifacts is lost forever.

  • There is nothing racist about this video you FUCKHEADS, why are you trying to prevent people from watching this?

  • As this "mini sub" does not offer an enclosed chamber, it does not allow divers to descend any deeper than they normally would. You have to set it down somewhere if you want to disembark. That stirs silt. It would also complicate a controlled ascent, as divers need time to off gas as they return to the surface. IMHO they have complicated their dive for little gain. A scooter would serve them better. I actually think it decreases safety.

  • @5stringofFernandoSor how in the hell can anyone perceive racism from this??

  • @5stringofFernandoSor that shit is racist dog

  • @TheRadar77 it might be a mini submersible in which case submersible just means can be submerged.

  • @jimkinner So dummies can conjure up comments to make them feel important.

  • 5:47 to 6:00 for those who have watched the niagra shipwreck video, this scene is strangely familiar... proceed to the niagra shipwreck video and look closely at 2:12 of that video, then go back to this video and skip to just a few second before the end, about 7:20 of this video and listen to what the narrator says.

  • Isn't a submarine supposed to be water tight and pressurized so divers can descend well below crush depth? This thing looks more like an underwater golf cart. It's probably useful. It's just not a submarine.

  • Did you see the part where they beat down that immigrant?? Wow! Just kidding, cool video.

  • How is it racist u F****** heads

  • well maybe if you listened to the video you would know why they use it they just said becuase of its speed and manuverability allows them to search wrecks safely and with alot less dive time id rather risk a mini sub getting fucked up before me.
