@mcgiver02 I would think, as he said, that you've got to have someone to talk to. He used to refer to Forwood as "family." He never would satisfy people's curiosity about the relationship. That just wasn't him.

I consider it one of God's Blessings that I get to see Dirk and James Villiers together in "King and Country".

Dirk Bogarde was and still is one of the all time greats, I loved his fine accent, his Britishness, and the great sensitivity that he gave to his roles as an actor
-
by the way, not Luciano but LUCCHINO visconti.

If Bogarde and Forwood's relationship was platonic, why live together ?
WHY ?

I never knew he might be gay. Not until tonite when seeing this documentary. I always simply enjoyed his art. And isn't that after all the most important aspect of the man?

I hope to upload the Arena documentary very soon... Be cool!

the arena doc was the best ever
Thanks for uploading this programme, Ana. Dirk Bogarde, along with James Mason, is my favourite British actor of all time. He seems to have been a fiercely intelligent, but very kind man and was certainly a great actor who made many fascinating, unconventional films and his complex performances can be watched over and over again.
