Go read more and then make up your mind !

Dominick7 should keep praying for the world to be a better place like our president does. That's like holding your breath and hoping the world will correct itself. You sound educated but you forgot that people that came before the Bible seemed to procreate, exist, and thrive without a bible. Now we'll apply certain orders of religion while ignoring others. You pick and choose the parts of a 10,000 year old book to apply to a society that doesn't resemble the world in which a virgin gave birth.

Therefore what you are doing is necessarily implying the existence of an ultimate standard of JUSTice/Good which is equivalent to a Theistic God, in order to deny a Theistic God/ultimate standard of Good/Justice exists..What then are you saying?

And if the only way you can say God is ultimately unJUST is to necessarily imply an ultimate standard of JUStice by which to compare God to, in order to say He doesnt match or measure up to the standard, how different would that ultimate standard of JUStice be from the very Theistic God you are claiming is wrong/evil/bully etc?

So if what is not JUST necessarily implies a standard of JUSTice by which to compare it to, how can you say God is ultimately not JUST without an ultimate standard of JUSTice by which to compare Him to?

There is no ULTIMATE standard of justice. "Justice," however you define it, and "morality" are human concepts. Some folks might look to the sky to solve their problems, but in the end they always deal with them themselves.

If so, the next question that follows is if you believe God who would be ultimate, is ultimately wrong (a bully/evil/not a good role model etc) then where do you get that standard of ultimate inJUSTice from by which to say God doesnt meet that standard? The only way we can know what is not-JUST is if we have an idea of what IS JUST by which to compare what is not JUST to.

I don't believe in an "ultimate" god.

WE determine what morality is. It's a human concept that exists in human brains (It's absurd that I should even need to point that out). That's why moral concepts develop over time and morality is not absolute.

But surely you agree that murdering children is wrong. It's true that there some people in the world who don't agree, but I'd like to think that most of us have progressed beyond barbarity.

If there is no ultimate God, then why even exist. Barbarity would not be definable. There would not be any purpose to your life. Moral concepts would not exist. No one would be able to come up with morality, because it would not be defined by anything. All you would be is a piece of mobile matter on a huge rock, floating around in the universe. How would you be able to determine what moving "beyond barbarity" is? It would ony be a made-up concept.

I have no belief in your god or any other, yet I have purpose in my life. How do you explain that?

To suggest that you would have no morals without believing in a sky nanny is, well...pathetic.
