  • you have the best knives ever amazing quality from what i can see

  • I never understood big bowies with a concave blade grind like that. IMO it's a thin edge that will fail under hard use..

  • First off SMKW owns Black Jack and this knife is/ was made of A2 steel and failure is not what that superb steel is known for and besides that grind looks strong to me and I own a lot of good quality knives being a collector.

  • beautiful knife. i like it a lot. maybe one one for myself someday

  • Xxx. @

  • @dapoetmaster Dear sir, I must correct you, the convex edge on these is quite thick and robust, I have abused it all to hell, it has never come CLOSE to failing, and I prefer very thin edges myself, knives are for cutting and slicing, and the thin edges work much better. Don't believe all this crap about needing a 1/4" or thicker blade, even 3/16" is PLENTY thick enough if the steel is tempered well.My WESTERN W49 Bowie is 1/8" thick, and plenty tough, course, it isn't stainless junk.

  • Stupendo!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @dapoetmaster concave? thin? concave is probably the thickest kind of grind (i might be mistaken), as it has a lot of material in the edge. your description (except the hard use part) is a hollow edge, much thiner, and with much less edge material, one of the main advantages is it is much easier to sharpen, but a concave's durability is bigger.
