@shizaquife truth be told its what you put into your year that matters. this girl never used 3d before coming to vfs and she worked hard to make this kickass demoreel.

thank you for replying my earlier question, i also wanted to know if it was true that you have to be at least 19 years old to apply for this school?

How can anyone dislike such good quality work ? regardless the subject ! You have to love the treatment of nature in this one ! !

contining my earlier comment, i am really interested in the acting, film production, stage makeup, and writing for film and television first and foremost. but i really cannot choose just one becuase i have a lot of experience in all realms and equally enjoy them all, and i would really like to comebine them. when it comes to the other programs such as sound design, digital animation, and business management, i do not have experience in these but i would like to try them out as well...

i have been researching this school intensely and it really does interest me, but it would be a huge commitment for me considering I live very far away. I love the programs and opprotunities and the overall school environment looks lovely. I am very dedicated to to film making arts and i have a good chunk of background experience already. the other problem is i am interested i at least 5 of your programs and my question was, is it possible to take multiple programs at once? please reply

Amazing! I usually dont like watching demo reels but i really enjoyed this one! Well done VFS!
wrapping this up, as you can see i am very conflicted when it comes to choosing just one program becuase i basically have an overall love for most of them, and io would like to know what i could do to work this out, can i take multiple programs at once, or combine, like a schedule? or do these programs run every day, full day and is it completely out of the question? becuase the website does not really give any information about it. So i would really appreciate if you could reply soon, thanks :D

@ThePlatypusClan Our one-year programs are full-time, and very intense. Unfortunately, it wouldn't be possible to take more than one program at a time. We have had previous students enroll in one program, then try a different program the following year. Of course, you would have to determine if that's the right choice for you.
Also, an Advisor can help you through this selection process. You can contact an Advisor on this page: vfs(dot)com/speak-to-advisor

@ashin4u Well, a visual art portfolio is required as part of your application, however, many students take the Foundation program first to learn the basics before moving onto the 3D Animation & Visual Effects program. Have you talked to an Advisor?

@ashin4u I went to VFS, from what I heard the Foundation program is a pretty big waste of money. It doesn't matter if you can draw if you're going into the 3D Animation/Visual Effects program (that's what I did) -- you'll have to take some courses with drawing, but the main focus is COMPUTER generated art. You'll be fine if you can't draw -- but you definitely have to be good on the computer!

@dranders208 Thanks for your feedback. It is true that computer skills are the main focus, but basic drawing skills are a requirement. That being said, you give good advice about possibly taking a a few courses to improve his skills.
While the Foundation program is not for everyone, there are plenty of students who find it useful because it focuses on a wide range of skills, from drawing to photography. What you get out of the program really depends on your background and goals.
