  • I'm just an old city boy who has no experience maintaining equipment, but I recently bought a D19 with the purchase of a home. The previous owner took good care of it machanically - it runs great and is a joy to use!

I would like to learn how to restore a tractor like yours. You did a great job! Where can I learn how to restore?

  • @jaklaassen start with a service manual, read up and dive in. As far as painting and bodywork, it comes with experience so you will just have to dive in and do it

  • super nice tractor! I have d19 with turbo. Have any idea how many were made with turbo?

  • All D19D had the turbo. A little over 10,000 D19's were built in a 3 year production run..of which about 3600 were diesel.

  • @gordomarley Steiner Tractor parts is where we got a few gages from for our D-17 they carry Gages for D-19's aswell their prices are resnable between 14-30$ except for the tach witch runs $150 also try AGCO Heritage parts I dunno how close your nearest AGCO dealership is from you, but they can order, and outfit you with just about any part.

  • The tractor that started the horsepower race.Beautiful D-19

  • working art my friend

  • Unbelievable!

It's like you time traveled, stole it, and brought it back with you.

    Absolutely gorgeous tractor.

  • looks great. Im restoring a Gas D-19 as we speak. got all the sheet metal off and im ready to sandblast, followed by priming and painting. I have a question for you. Where did you get ahold of those original gauges and how much did it run you? thanks and regards from Ohio!

  • That;s the powerful D19; they have like 70 horsepower and were made for a 5 bottom plow (now four as modern plows are much more serious). When we used our gas D19 on our 4 bottom plow it struggled; we had to go in low Second (3rd gear) and it was SLOW.

  • thats a really nice d-19 nicest one ive ever seen great job

  • lovely looking machine, good work!
