Durango with Straight Pipes

This is my Durango. I straight piped it and it was ridiculusly loud. You can't tell how loud it really is because of the camera I used.

Yeah I did the same thing to my durango except the tips were different and I have the 5.9. I ended up running duals out the back though because they burnt like six people getting out of the back and they were in the way if the nerf bars I put on it.

@jamesmarhein do they plug it into a smog test machine when they inspect it? I live in WV and it's illegal here too, but they check it. What you do is fab up a cat delete pipe, and then take your factory cat, cut it in half, gut it, and mount it around the cat delete pipe. Never did it personally, but I am thinking about it when summer time rolls around and I can ride my bike

@TheBenSlack sweet. I own a 98 exactly like that, same color, 5.2L, whole nine yards, and I've been looking around at exhausts, and you know what, I may just straight pipe now. That sounds amazing. Anybody ever burn themselves climbing out the door? lol, I'd probably leave it coming out the back, and even cut the muffle apart, gut it, and mount it around the pipe so it still looks legal for inspections

hey i have a 01 durango and was wondering if you had to cut the muffler off or just remove some bolts. P.S. that sounds awesome and kinda like a diesel!

hahaha. wow. i wish that was legal where im living. i would do it in a heartbeat. but i cant even take off the cat without it being illegal. i have a 5.9, woth flowmaster super 10 muffler
