M80 explosion blowing a tree apart

We dropped an M80 inside a tree through a hole that went down inside the trunk, quite a nice explosion and ripped the tree apart; the sound however does not compare to being there in person. Please check out my other videos.

The one in the video is about 3" in length, has about 3g of explosive, a fairly accurate mix and moderatly fine chemicals and has cardboard endcaps with a hardened PVA enclosure.....

...The new version is about 6" (new length allows much more than just double the amount of flash powder), has a thicker and wider tube, is *completely* water-proof, has been treated with sodium silicate for an extremely hard tube and fire-resistance, has thick hot-glue end caps,...

...has a 99.99% stoichiometricly accurate mixture of about 10g and is made with a finer flake aluminium and extremely fine perchlorate. These little beauties are really fun but demand alot of respect. I don't have an area to do any tests at the moment, I have about 100 of these to explode. Maybe I'll post a few vids up sometime.

I understand why they're illegal but it really sucks. M-80's have about over 3 grams of flash powder and that is what makes them so badass and fun. Now people are only allowed to carry firecrackers with up to 50 milligrams of flash powder. I wish I knew where to get some M-80's.

@ofdiscordia Indeed, but from what ive heard, pills and carbon monoxide are pretty wishy washy ways to go. they dont always work and when they dont...i hear it hurts. BAD.

@PACHONGA9 You are right in the sense they wanted enough explosive to blow their head up, but for me if I was thinking that way, exhaust fumes from a car or sleeping pills and wine would be the way to go. I don't much fancy the idea of what it would feel like if the last second I was on this earth, I felt all the bones in my jaw and face getting broken and the skin inside my mouth getting scorched. that would have to suck.

@PACHONGA9 There was a guy years ago I remember running across on the internet where they had posted pictures of his death, they called him firecracker face and the story is he stuck an M-100 in his mouth which is supposed to be 1/4 stick of dynamite and lit it off. I can tell you it made quite a mess, akin to what you see when a person gets shot by a .50 cal rifle in the head, very messy. I can't imagine why any person would choose that way out if they wanted to kill themselves.
