All these people keep complaining about how "Resident Evil will never be the same" and how "4 and 5 suck". Well, a true Resident Evil fan would have no problem with the new Resident Evil setup and storyline. If you like the old games so much, buy an old PSOne on ebay.

@PhoenixHelix RE4 hasn't really lost the survival horror edge.RE5 is survival-action I admit that.The new enemies are actually using their instinct as well.They are not human.They automaticly attack every human.Of course they don't do that to feed themselves and look more like killers.Zombies are better yes.Old Resident Evils are better.Code Veronica and RE3 are the best for me.But that doesn't mean new REs suck.They just don't have the same enemies.Like you said they are enjoyable

@PhoenixHelix Agree, Outbreak series was great indeed... RE was a masterpiece survival-horror with a realistic story, great atmosphere, amazing musics by king Masami Ueda, normal credible characters and interesting b.o.w., zombies, intriguing enigmas and so on... In my opinion the 4 and 5 destroyed almost everything, killing the real soul and essence of RE, with bad storyline and locations, nonsense superhuman characters and enemies, and a mainstream shitty tps type of gameplay...

@MrAlucard222 You forgot the Outbreak series; while most fans look down on those two games i think they were a good idea.

4 and 5 arent bad but they've deviated too far from what made us fans of the series in the first place. Survival horror, Mystery and Atmosphere; you got it in one go. 4 and 5 are given too much emphasis in the action genre; i think thats what made die hard fans disappointed wouldnt you agree?

@FlameGyu I agree they're great games, hell ive enjoyed playing them and i always will; but i think 4 and 5 have lost that survival horror edge that the series brought in games 1 2 3 CV Rebirth and 0. its too much about action these days and the zombies that you say mean nothing brought out the more best part of the series: they're not enemies by choice, they're going by sheer instinct to feed and thats more horrifying which is what made us fans in the first place.

P.S:Resident Evil 4 and 5 suck?LOL!Not a chance.The thing that they don't have zombies means nothing.They have got other great enemies and 4 has Regenerators which are the same as zombies and even worse and 5 has a stronger form of RE3 Lickers.They don't suck.Think about them as a game and stop comparing one RE to each other.It is a bullshit.They are the SAME GAMES!

@PUOj Don't forget the 1 Rebirth (fantastic, probably the best), the 0 and the Code Veronica... But after that, RE is dead, the 4 and 5 are a joke, no enigmas, no atmosphere, no "survival horror", only a shitty "third person shooting", truly a disaster for the best game ever... R.I.P. Resident Evil 1996-2002
