The rack itself is nice, but was designed by true brainiacs. Why do I need clamps when I have low rider bosses? Oh right, because they put the fixtures in a place which is nowhere near any bosses - and I have 3 bosses on my fork!

@hutzelbein Don't we all wish every rack worked seamlessly with every bike!

@RivBikeWorks The sad truth is: all my other racks (Tubus, Thorn, several no-name racks) DO work. I was actually told that the Nitto is not supposed to work with low rider bosses. It's supposed to be used with forks that have no bosses at all. Huh? For double to triple the price of other quality racks, I expect that Nitto would at least think about ways to make the rack compatible with a standard touring bike. Other companies do.

@hutzelbein The rack isn't quite a low-rider rack, nor is it high-riding rack. It's a pretty unique front rack on the market. I could see from a design standpoint that it would be hard to have this rack attach to low-rider mounts since the mounts would be loo low to offer enough stability. I could see the rack designed to attach at the mid-fork braze-on or on the canti studs. But it seems that with the clamps the rack can attach on any style of fork, regardless of braze-ons or brake style.
