After pulling the goalie on a delayed penalty call, the Bruins make a bad pass and the puck bounces towards the empty net. Patrice Bergeron races back and catches it right at the goal line, on April 10, 2010.

  • @BreninDaleDerrick There was a delayed penalty coming against Carolina, teams usually pull the goalie during those because once the opposing team touches the puck, play is stopped.

  • where the fuck is thomas? hes not in goal , why?

  • Wow, this game had it all. Three shorthanded goals, Bergy's goal line save and Jack's great speech at the end. Go B's! Repeat!

  • @BruinsBrawler

The same thing that almost occured here actually happened to Niclas Wallin in Carolina. Wallin tried to pass the puck back not realizing they had pulled the goalie for a delayed penalty and it went right into his own net. Other team never touched the puck. The Canes got a powerplay, but the other team (I forget who) got a goal.

  • blake wheeler and ryder owed bergy big time after that one.

  • Omg thats pure awesomeness

  • @BruinsBrawler thats not it at all bud

  • @BruinsBrawler Are you stupid? Wheeler passed the puck, it was too far for Ryder, and it bounced off the boards, and went towards the net. A Hurricane player never touched the puck, as long as the other team doesn't touch the puck, it counts.

  • Why is this even a big deal? The Bruins pulled Rask because there was a delayed penalty on the Canes. Even if the puck went in it still would not have been a goal. Thats the whole idea of pulling your goalie on a delayed penalty because even if the offending team scores it doesn't count.
