@shadow11218112 They adapt the show, not copy it. Super Sentai was adapt into Power Rangers for 2 reasons:

1 - To show a different side of Super Sentai if it was created outside Japan.

2 - To help sell the latest Super Sentai merchandise worldwide. Though Shinkenger merchandise is also sold worldwide, most fans will still buy it if they are fan of either PRS (Power Rangers Samurai) or SSS (Samurai Sentai Shinkenger).

@bryceman660 It's power rangers, when has the cast not been painfully bad? Think about all the people who have played roles as power rangers, both the rangers and the villains. Now think about all those actors who have gone on to successful acting careers! The best two are Amy Jo Johnson, who has a respectable career as a B-list actress. And Johny Young Bosch who has acquired some fame as a anime voice.

Never thought I'd say this but this series COMPLETELY overplays the original motifs, it's like they are desperately trying to relive there glory days from 20 years ago.

That being said, the very subtle go go power rangers toon when they first arrived was pretty awesome.
