I think which version of the song is better is a matter of taste - but Baez's version was a top 40 hit. The fact that it is about Bob Dylan helped, I am sure. Of course, Priest's version is better known among metal heads, but in overall popularity, hers had more sucess. Personally I like both, and Priest clearly respected Baez's version.
