[How To] Take Apart the Xbox 360 (For Modding Purposes)

This Xbox 360 tutorial will show you how to open your Xbox 360 in order to get to all the goodies inside. The xbox 360 opening tool usually comes with an allen key with torx screwdrivers on the end; however I would suggest buying an actual torx screwdriver as it's easier to use.

i got two xbox360s a older version that got the red ring and a new one but with the new i can,t place the old hardrive because they rebuilt it and now i can,t transfer my saves to the new xbox360 any help?

@Tomburk46 You have 3 options. 1. Buy a transfer cable and transfer the contents. 2. Use the Xbox Live Cloud and transfer the saves. Then redownload any DLCs. 3. Mod the hard drive and put it in the slim one. ~MoNeYINPHX~

@Tomburk46 If I'm reading this right, then you have an old Phat 360 with the RRoD and a new Slim version, correct? You can actually use a hard drive transfer cable to send your saves over to your slim, or there's a way you can take apart your old hard drive and put it into your new slim version. If I had a slim xbox I would make that tutorial for you guys, but alas, I do not.
