Shows the construction of my Westfield Sport 2000 module build (lotus 7 inspired) sportscar. The engine is a ford duratec 2.0l with a Weber Alpha throttle body injection (204hp), with lightened flywheel, sports clutch plate (hydrolic), connected to an MT75 - 5 speed quick shift gearbox. This is connected to a 3.92 LSD Ford 7" differential. Suspension is fully independent and fully adjustable with a wide track front arrangement and front and rear anti roll systems fitted. Brakes are AP racing 4 pot (ventilated discs) at the front and VW golf mk4 solid discs at the rear, operated by an AP Racing master cylinder.
how much does it cost to do this?

@deadlycheezcake - it all comes down to how fast you want it to go. You pay for power and lightness! This was about £21k but I put a lot of extras on it when I built it.

nice but how do you get it to be street legal?

@Armaangandevia
It depends where you are in the world but here in the UK it has to go for a special test with VOSA to ensure it is safe and road legal

@mattcolorz
It all comes down to money and how much spare time you have! You can source every single part yourself to save money or you can split it into 6 modules all direct from he factory - chassis, suspension / brakes, engine / gearbox, electrical systems and then the body work and cabin etc. Once you have finished you need to then have it inspected by VOSA for safety and obtain numberplates and tax from DVLA.
Plenty of time / knowlendge 4 to 6 weeks, most people 12 weeks.
