although a very depressing movie if you want AN APRRECIATION FOR LIFE watch this movie......and yes Gregory Peck, just wonderful♥

@sara31tx . . .she could be mistaken for Liz Taylor or Natalie Wood, and they were all screen icons. When she lived in London in the 70s, I saw her signing autographs outside the Royal Albert Hall, even with dark glasses and a scarf over her head, there was no mistaking the glamour in her looks and shere presence. I believe she was a straight talking lady who knew what she wanted. . .well, Sinatra always loved her, why shouldn't the rest of us? Thanks Ava.

It's heartbreaking when he talks about his family. Because you know they're dead. Gregory Peck was amazing in his facial expressions when he acts out talking about them. Like his character knows they're dead, but won't acknowledge it, and as a result is holding back his own emotions.

My Favorite Actress! Love Ava Gardner! She enver saw herself as a great actress but as a viewer she had something that most didn't..there was a realness to her acting! She could speak volumes without saying a word! that my friend is real talent!
