Here is a different view of a TGV Atlantique cabride, at night this train is arriving from Lyon into Paris gare de Lyon. You can clearly hear the rheostatic braking as we slow down. Interesting to note, just prior to the video starting, the TGV could if need be, coast all the way into the staion just by its own momentum. From the time the video starts to the end, the trip covers 8.27 miles or 13.31 km.

At 1:16 look to the right and 6:17 look to the left, you will see the 'searchlight' from atop the Eiffel Tower.

  • A train that has shaped modern history.

To say more would equal stupidity.

  • VERY Cool!

    Thanks for sharing!

    5 Stars!

  • TGV Atlantiques are often used for services out of Gare de Lyon during the winter season, in order to cover some TGV Duplex trainsets which are used for the skitrains to the French Alpes.

  • Didn't TGV Atlantique arrive only in Gare Montparnasse?

Since when it can stop at Gare de Lyon?

  • dashloc is right. Video seems to begin as it comes out of tunnel at Valenton with La Plage Bleu Park on the left. At 1:42 it crosses A86 loop highway; 2:17 it enters Le Vert de Maisons RER station; 3:00 it enters Maisons-Alfort - Alfortville RER station; 5:04 it passes the Boulevard Périphérique, thus entering Paris.

  • Brilliant vid.Know this piece of railway well (from Villeneuve Saint Georges inwards)Great to watch a cab view at night!

  • When did TGV As arrive at Paris Gare de Lyon??

  • Yeap that's why electric trains are the best ecological way to transport a lot of peoples ! :)
