Jeff Peterson & Riley Lee perform Maika`i ka Makani O Kohala in the Atherton Studio at Hawaii Public Radio. This was during the taping of Kanikapila Sunday with Derrick Malama
Man it's incredible that not a single piece of VST, KEYBOARD, and FX GEAR I got can do what this piece of simple dried up WOOD, BAMBOO can do. That's sad.
Weird, but nice. That reminds me of a string quartet I heard playing Jimi Hendrix's "Foxy Lady". They did a nice job (really) but it was so weird. U guys did a very different thing. Beautiful Ki Ho'alu though...no doubt about it. Both of u are great musicians in ur own right. Keep experimenting. That's the thing that keeps us humans interesting.
I knew the LINK was here somewhere........ G'day Jeff ! and of Course Riley, whose Music I am familiar with being an Aussie ( But a Hawaiian at Heart ) Once we get the Aussie Radio Station up and running we'd Happily play tracks for your Great works together, just like this one. Slack Key is Always Soothing but combined with Shakuhachi it's Meditative, Soothing like a lullaby ...zzzzzzzzzz.
