  • The original of this song has been sang during the war against the Dutch. Usually the song sing by a young mother who are staying home while their husband going to out to war.

The love of the mother and the missing toward the husband revealed to her kid, who are just born at this point.

When it says, " beudoh hai aneuk tajak u Acheh" it doesn't mean tha they are not in Acheh. It refers to the mother holding the kid & teach him how to walk. At this point the kid has grown and learning to walk.

  • I think the song talks about a women and her son, who lived far away from home (Aceh), maybe because there was a war in Aceh. Then she sang to her son, "later, when you're old enough, come back to your home, and fight for your nation".
