La Société du spectacle (Society of the Spectacle) is a 1973 film by Situationist Guy Debord based on the 1967 book of the same title. It was Debord's first feature-length film.
It's not an easy text period. I come back to it every now and then after reading other texts, forums and watching films critically to some extent. It makes it easier, bit by bit. Obviously, if you have never read any Marx you may struggle regardless but I don't think that is a necessity. Also you could try searching for Detournements in Guy Debord's The Society of the Spectacle. Maybe you've got it all sussed by now anyway!?
ok, it;s interesting enough for me to get the book but i cant process those words at that speed....anyone who can translate and understand what is being said, please just vote down this comment, but i dont think i`m alone.
