GPS Fleet Management: How To View Trips and Monitor Field Activity

Seeing what is happening in the field is key to facilitating better decision making by management. With your drivers and vehicles already set up in Geotab's software, we strongly encourage the use of our Groups to be able to report activity from the various different areas of your company. This database has grouped assets by Administration, Distribution, Landscaping and Second Harvest. Notice that by clicking the drop down menu at the top of the screen, the dashboard reports automatically refresh to reflect the activity of the group. Different Software users have unique access to the various features of the Geotab platform. This User needs to see current and historic trip activity and must be able to send messages to mobile workers. To see the location of vehicles within a Group -- simply click the Live Map icon. In this example, the Second Harvest vehicle group are displayed. If you know the address of a customer and you need to find the closest vehicle -- type the address and click 'nearest'. The map image is automatically refreshed with new incoming data. To review a breadcrumb of historic data -- go to Trips History. Click on a vehicle and the data range of trips you want to review. The stops at customers and other zone types you've created are coloured. By selecting a day or just a trip segment, you can precisely view trips taken and any events that may have occurred. From showing the stop sequence, through enabling you to send a dispatch address to a driver's connected Garmin -- our solutions assist management and drivers improve their effectiveness in the field.
