  • @alon1993 I don't know if it'll help, I just think that sometimes its Chris's lyrics that do it for me. Sometimes it is listening to the multiple layers individually, sometimes it is just a great melody, sometimes it is just the feel, and sometimes it just hits me and tells me what I've been needing to hear. I think Charlie Brown is more reminiscent of their older stuff as is Us Against the World and Don't Let it Break Your Heart from Mylo Xyloto.

  • @alon1993 Yeah, I think it might just take some time. Viva La Vida they experimented more with their sound and how they wanted to do it just because they finally owned their own studio. I actually (almost on all of their albums) love songs other than their biggest singles. Viva La Vida or Death and All of His Friends I think does a great job lyrically. I think my favorites are 42, life in technicolor ii, Death and All his friends and Yes and Violet Hill (which they made 12 years before
