Cardiac

This is a piece that I wrote and performed in the Fall of 2008. The performance given here is not all that spectacular; this was less than a week after I had contracted pneumonia and mono, so I wasn't in the best playing shape. Also, there was a glitch with the CD playback, and the CD actually started at about the 1:10 mark, instead of at the beginning. Thus, this recording has been engineered from the CD portion itself and the live recording-if you listen closely around the 1:10-1:15 mark, you'll hear the transition from one to the other. Anyways, I hope you enjoy my piece for tuba, CD and video, Cardiac!

Nerdy tech info: CD portion composed and organized in Cubase SX 3, video put together in Windows Movie Maker, solo performed on a Rudolf Meinl 4/4 CC tuba with a Laskey 30H mouthpiece, radio samples gathered from a Realistic SW-100 short wave radio.
