Deep Purple mk4 produced a magic album...probably my favourite and the accompanying tour although blighted by well documented problems produced some magic too.....sound is from taste it down under in 76 ...R.I.P Tommy

  • The Taste it Down Under bootleg is actually from 1975 - 25th November to be exact. Sorry for being an anorak. Tommy Bolin rules!!!

  • thanks for the info....bolin does indeed rule...

  • The name JAMES GANG tells everything.

    TOMMY BOLIN was fantastic guitarist!!!

    RIP, Tommy!!!

  • Love Tommy Bolin and really liked Come Taste The Band and his solo stuff but Deep Purple were Ritchie Blackmore and Jon Lord when either are missing or even worse like today BOTH are missing then its simply NOT Deep Purple

  • this tribute sounds like shit. deep purple could do better for a tribute to my bro. fuck purple and fuck coverdale.

  • I loved Tommy Bolin but when I saw Purple with him, it was awfull. He didn't know half the songs. And Purple without either Blackmore or Lord just isn't really Purple.

  • @paujoekrisjam It's not about being the best - Bolin was the Greatest

  • @STRATCAT101 Yes Sir - In deed

  • Tommy..just loved that that guys playing..."Post toaste" and all that...wonderous

  • that is live?

  • Great post

  • Bolin was on FIRE on tour in Aussieville with Deep Purple

  • Both albums by the James Gang would have sucked if it were not for Tommy Bolin,he saved them."Bang" sounded more like a Bolin album. Also Tommy was a better singer and some great hooks by Tommy he was amazing on "bang"some of his best work, but i say that about all Tommy's stuff.Could you imagine what Tommy would have sounded like today. He was only 25 when he left us and look what he did in that short timespan,i think Tommy would be on top of the world, every band would want him.
