Exhibition Maciej Zień - Polish Fashion Designer 2008

Materiał dotyczący pokazu kolekcji jesień zima 2008/09 Macieja Zienia, który miał miejsce 30 maja 2008 w Królikarni, zainaugurował wystawę z okazji 10 - tej rocznicy twórczości artysty. Na wystawie oprócz filmów biograficznych, pokazów mody, akcesoriów oraz prezentacji zdjęć z wyselekcjonowanych sesji zdjęciowych, można było zobaczyć blisko sto najpiękniejszych kreacji, które zachwyciły zarówno polskie jak i międzynarodowe Gwiazdy. Nie zabrakło pośród nich kreacji Andy McDowell i Evy Hercigovej.

Maciej Zień believes that the time has come for fashion in Poland to be treated as an art, as it is in other countries. This is the goal of the exhibition organized to mark ten years of his creative work. The location of the Warsaw exhibition is no accident it was at Królikarnia that the designer put on his first show. Two floors of the Królikarnia museum are filled with almost 100 of his creations they include dresses worn under the blaze of photographers flashlights by such personalities as Justyna Steczkowska, Aneta Kręglicka, Andy McDowell and Eva Herzigowa.
Zień is the first Polish designer to have an exhibition made of his work, which demonstrates that his brand is enjoying increasing renown. He has also taken part in Paris Fashion Week in the worlds fashion capital at the end of February last year the designer showed his prt-a-porter collection, which was very well received by the Paris fashion critics.
