There may be doctors in your area who are willing to prescribe low dose naltrexone. It is FDA approved and inexpensive. I don't have cancer, but I'm starting a clinical trial of low dose naltrexone for fibromyaglia at Stanford hospital in California.

It is so very frustrating to see things like this. We all know there are wonderful cures out there but EVERY case is urgent to someone... to someone's loved ones. Why are we denied the cures we need? And the info we need? And in lots of cases, the nutrition we need? Turning cancer patients away is a great shame, because they have little time and often end up falling victim to a very inept health care system; receiving inappropriate treatments which kill them and cost them their savings too.

@tamrakat Low dose Naltrexone is not approved, only the normal doses are approved. That's why many doctors are unwilling to prescribe it.

@rooflee Hi. Yes, it's working again for me at the lower dose. Not sure why it stopped. People frequently have to play around with the dose before the discover the dose that's right for them.

@tamrakat Hello. I see you mentioned that LDN stopped working for you after 3 months. Did the temporary stop and restart help? Is it working for you again now? And did they figure out why it stopped working? Sorry for the interrogation lol :)

LDN does work, but you have to play with the dosage till you find the right dose that works for you. I started at 4.5. It worked great for 3 months (took a month to start working), then it stopped (theoretically because of a possible buildup). I took a 5 day break then started back 2 days ago on 3.0 mg. It will probably take another month before I see relief of pain again. Would definitely recommend tho, even with dosage issues I'm still not at level 8/9 pain like I was before ever starting LDN.

How did that work out? I have fibromyalgia and am trying to get a prescription for it. My Naturopath was leary of it so I left her a lot of information. I am see a Functional Medicine Doc next week and will ask him about it.
