Lmao, of course, the employee will say it is a success in FRONT of a freaking camera. Restriction is never a good idea ! The company should go easy on employee as long as they finish the job. Just look at the best 100 company to work for (google, SAS, zappos..etc).They give their employee "the comfort" to do the job, and the result will follow.
Let's see. Do you believe average young workers are more productive with iPhone or real 32/64 bit multi-threaded and muti-tasking OS? If I have to do my daily operation on a single task device, it would take two weeks to get the work I need to get done on each day. If this manager understands basic business process and management, just block "distractions" from their employees. Distraction isn't mult-tasking. The issue of today's world isn't multi-tasking. There are too many distractions.

Um. Not really. If you had a good trade and tried to advance to a higher position in a company or start your own company, you can make tons.
My mother is the head accountant for a multi-billion dollar company. My step-dad is a supervisor in the mine for it (its a mine). My step-dad works probably 50 hours a week, and he pulls in just as much or more than my mom.
