I had the same exact prblem and succesfuly did it! you just slide out the keyboard and then slide it off.

It should be easy to pop off since it's a lot larger than the phone. but you can try to open it by placing a thin card (credit card or id something slightly sturdy) in between the place where the parts meet and wedge it between the parts then slide it it should pop open with that.

got this today! its nice.
to answer some of the questions, No, it does not come with a screen protector.
you have to buy them separate like i did.
i did a shitty job trying to cut it out (damn bubbles) lol
overall, case is a must have.
