i understand that this short inspired half nelson...but it seems like this movie really is just a parody where they remade half nelson scene for scene, but instead of using ryan gosling, they used the most comically fugly person.

Um, this short film was made by the people that made Half Nelson. No one stole it, they made this first and then the movie got made.
