  • hey i was going to upgrade from my analog mixer to a firewire or usb interface. Most likely a usb for price reasons. My main question would be - with the tascam 1641 when you record drums in cubase - does each drum (mic) come up as a separate track so you can eq all the drums separately?

  • @mycomputer5 yes they come up as separate tracks

  • dose the tascam you use record all your mics on to differnt channles

  • yes, all diff channels, but all on cubase.

  • impressed with the eulogy lick comin from a beginner

  • :-D

  • Hey, do you know what kind of wood that SCF04 acoustic guitar is made of?

  • ahh been looking at getting one of the tascam's you have, im assuming from this video theres no problem running it on a pretty standard laptop, everyone ive seen using them have epic home computers and stuff. My laptop's not shit but its not particularly mindblowing ether, so if i bought one it would be fine running into ether cubase(obviously) or ableton suite 8 on my laptop, which i have no current recording issues with? cheers.

  • I also have the M-Audio AV40. I love those speakers!

  • do u do acoustic treatments in ur room

  • epic fail at tha begining lol

  • if i were you i would go with logic as opposed to cubase; the user interface is much better.

  • sounds like camea audio still.

  • you seem like a really nice guy :) keep it up, and i am looking forward to hear some more things from your studio!

  • It sucks that you have to use the Asio drivers.......this makes the tascam us 1641 a slave to the steinberg licence...

Unlike all my other interfaces (like the RME hammerfall and alesis Adat PCR) The Tascam drivers will not work as a multi in on Cool Edit and Audition because only the first 2 inputs and 2 outputs (headphone out) get recognised....

back to the store it goes

  • nice but you didnt panpot any mics to make a stereo image.. everything here is in mono not stereo.. but clear mmics!!!
