I love my bmw (3 series) and M has been doing a hell of a job for so long..its nice to see others getting in and doing a hell of a job keeping up. Lexus producing a car nearly a perfect equal on the track with a car that has been made for so long. I doubt id ever consider owning a Lexus, but its a sporty looking ride enough. Good on the company.
No BMW I have ever owned has ever had any major problems, and I'm not lying to you.
PERHAPS Japanese cars have less problems, but they're not perfect. Both Japanese and German automakers have recalls don't they? I would also live with a few more visits to the dealer than drive a passionless car with no road feel. Driving an M, you should know what I mean.
I don't know what was more crazy the races between these two high powered road rippers or that dude shifting with his left hand at those speeds! lol
Both cars are really cool, but it turned out like I thought Lexus builds a great car, but its just not on par with the Beasts from Bavaria! However, an Infiniti G37X coupe might have more of shot even though it lacks the horsepower of the ISF.
I've never experienced a problem with BMW, so I don't know what this word "reliability" pertains to in this case. No engine problems, no electrics, nothing.
My friends 2007 Toyota 4Runner has problems... stuff you wouldn't expect from a "reliable" car company. I don't care what CR or JD Power rates it. I would buy German anyday over Japanese.
