You need to learn the saying "no friends on powder days " if you want 1st tracks you ditch the girl and your buds and say your sorry at the bottom as you look back up the slope admiring your handy work. That chump had as much right to freshies as you, but you gave it up. Next time you want first tracks try freezing you ass off waiting 45 min before the lift starts while eating a frozen cliff bar drinking stale water out of your camelback. Been there, done that but i never ever say sorry anymore.
Awesome video, what board are you riding?
Looks to cope very well with the deep pow

It is a Burton Fish 160. It kills it in the pow.

I thought it might be, came across you video after a search on youtube for Fish reviews, It looks like great fun, is it a 2009 model, the one with the retro graphic's and 'S' rocker??
Whats it like on the groomers when you need to get back to the lifts?. I have been thinking about getting one for the last 5 years or so, i think just need to buy one and stop messing about ;-)
Cheers

Hey there, I test hardgoods for Burton, so this fish is a 2009 prototype with S-Rocker. It is an absolute blast on groomers, it really carves well and you will have a blast riding one. If you live in the PNW I have some older fishes you are welcome to try, as well as this proto if you want. I usually hit Baker or Stevens Pass and have other pow boards as well. This board definitely allows you to ride deep snow with very little effort, it is extremely manueverable and FUN

Cheers for the offer, but i'm a little to far away to take u up on it. I'm from the UK :-). I normally ride in the Alps, but have had a couple of trips to Banff & Mammoth. normally ride a custom, and a massive 175cm volkl selecta in pow (enclosed swallow tai on it) Its really good on the open bowls proper surfy feel & really easy to ride. But a complete dog in the trees and when it gets steep. I was considering a malolo as new a do it all board, but keep going back to the idea of a fish instead

Hey there, the Malolo is certainly a great powder board, but if a true powder board is what you're after the Fish really makes a world of difference, even compared to a Malolo or Piranha. The fish's wide nose, taper and lack of tail make it a floaty powder surfing powder slashing machine. The nose *always* wants to be on top of the snow you will love it
