How much do u think they would rather be lied to so they can maintain their comfortable life w/o being troubled by a moral crisis? How much do u think they are willing to be put in a situation where they would be obliged to make sacrifices due to their better conscience?

How much do u think they have seriously sat down & thought it out & then after shrewd research of the facts decided they entirely trust the govt & there is no conspiracy?

I think fear has a lot to do with their motivation. The idea of a government conspiracy behind 9/11 makes them feel so helpless, as if the whole American system would collapse, they just refuse to listen to the evidence.

The real truth is that a man living in a cave in the world's poorest country made a few mobile phone calls and managed to orchestrate an attack on the world's richest and most powerful country.

He also managed to organise the planes to get through national air defence perimeters without being shot down when the planes failed to answer mission control...

If terrorism hadn't come along & replaced Communism as America's big enemy,what would the defense budget look like today?There weren't any Communists left to fight or contain in 2001 and thus no need for a huge military & hundreds of bases round the world to contain them.People were expecting massive cuts,down sizing & base closings but 911 'just happened' to come along & save them?The people wont pay to maintain a huge military without an enemy/threat to justify it and they wont fight for oil.
