God's Judgment Pattern as described in the OT

Sodom and Gomorrah Gen 17-19
Flood of Noah Gen 6 - 8

Here is the pattern

(1) they (the people that are being judged) had plenty of access to 'truth' and opportunities to change their evil ways
(2) their crimes were violent and pervasive to God and AGAINST PEOPLE (international in scope)
(3) the annihilations were judgments
(4) God was willing to spare the innocent people--if any could be found
(5) children living in the households of their evil parents would have undoubtedly died swiftly [with their evil parents)
(6) the innocent people are delivered (along with their children of the household).
