I wish Anim8or was still supported, it's not amazing but it's so simple to use! I tried to learn Blender and failed epically, and you can't do 3D in After Effects.

Your fire is perfect, just increase the number of frames when creating the fire in terranim8or so it comes out longer, as an extra hint, you can create water waves fx but that part im still learning

It's just a flat plane (4-sides n-gon) with a texture from some tiles applied. Just go build>primitives>n-gon>4.
