A long filled in quarry in Gloucestershire, re-excavated in the early 1990's. Parts unearthed included Frazer Nash gun turrets from Lancaster bombers. The video also shows some Tiger Moth fuel tanks and a Lancaster pilot's seat, complete with armour plate.
In addition to Sloppbob, I was told of a place, deadly secret !, that was known to only one or two guys, that every year or so, they'd go and dig out a mint condition Harley, fully protected in original wax and grease, clean it up and on to the market. Down near to Newton Abbot I believe.

Yup - I know of an old Quarry, where several american trucks / jeeps were burried, containing guns, cigarettes, mines, boxed motorbikes - excavations reveal some mines were in mint condition!

Apparently at the end of the war, loads of brand new, surplus 'Merlins' were dropped down old mine shafts around Cheshire to get rid of them, obviously they would be screwed now but as a person that does a lot of old abandoned mine exploration..I,d still love to find some! - Nice vid, thanks for sharing :)

Despite the corroded state of the metal, those turrets are historically important. Proof that there is still stuff out there to be found.
