Seattle Times reports Airbus listed 713 gross new orders for year at end of August, with a net total - taking cancellations into account -- of 656 jets. @airbusisawesome I'm not disagreeing with the quiet part or anything, but you have to consider, on a boeing 777, 1 engine has to do twice as much work as an engine on a A340. And theres no way it can be quieter, but that's what makes boeing 777 so fuel efficient and cheap to operate; less engines, less cost on buying them and less fuel needed compare to a 4-engine aircraft

@Xylugan2010 I suppose people could say that, but from my experience, A340's are much quieter.
