PART 1 of 2 BARRY STERN TRIBUTE ... TROUBLE & ZOETROPE
TROUBLE LIVE ...1990 TOUR ... FRIDAY JULY 27th 1990 HAMILTON ONTARIO

Yes in Deed,..... The Mad Dog's favorite instrument are drums and drummers ,..... we had the chance to catch ZOETROPE a couple of times with Barry and then our last time was at this TROUBLE show inFri. July 27th 1990 in Hamilton at The Dallas Night Club ........

TROUBLE was on tour with SAVATAGE,... and we were at Barry's hotel room with Eric Wagner smoking hash the night before when they were playing their show in Toronto at Rock N' Roll Heaven Thur. July 26th 1990.....

So we got to see TROUBLE twice with Barry,..... it was a pleasure watching you play Barry and may you Rest in Peace

The road manager for TROUBLE was a dick and would not allow filming,.... but I managed to get this 2 part video segment of TROUBLE in Hamilton (20 minutes) ...... the songs played on these two segments are from their best album ever put out ..... self titles 1990 TROUBLE

A note from Angry: Since the passing of DIO,... and thinking about life in general,.... I thought I would do a search for BARRY STERN ... since he was the 1st musician I knew/met who passed away,.... and not much is out there on him, neither is much out there on ZEOTROPE ..... 5 years has now passed and this is just our tribute to you Barry to let you know you are not forgotton

Former TROUBLE/ZOETROPE Drummer BARRY STERN Passes Away
- Apr. 2, 2005
Former ZOETROPE/TROUBLE drummer Barry Stern has sadly passed away. Stern, who was said to be recovering from recent hip-replacement surgery, was believed to be in his mid-40s. "He was a close friend and the reason I discovered the Chicago metal scene," SOIL guitarist Shaun Glass told BLABBERMOUTH.NET. "I was a huge ZOETROPE fan back in the day and I just got him on the guest list for the Dime [benefit] show here [in Chicago in late February]."

Stern played drums and sang on the first two ZOETROPE albums — 1985's "Amnesty" and 1987's "A Life of Crime" — before leaving to join the Chicago doomsters TROUBLE prior to the recording of their classic 1990 self-titled offering. He stuck around long enough to appear on the follow-up effort, 1992's "Manic Frustration".
"We are deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Barry Stern on Friday morning (April 1). Our hearts and prayers go out to all his family and friends today.

"We remember all the good times we had together and come to know that they are priceless all we can say is that we love you and miss you and one day we will jam together again. Rest in peace."

Added TROUBLE guitarist Rick Wartell: "This is sad news for the music world.

"I would like to send condolences to Barry's family and friends. We will think of you, and one day we will jam together again.

"RIP, brother."
