Conspiracy For Good - Hug a Chugger

Hug a Chugger is an idea created to test and inspire creative people to invent their own flash mob type of ground actions to help their favorite causes- and local charity workers.

If you didn't know, Chugger is a derogatory term derived from charity-mugger (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=chugger). We wanted to use the word to spotlight the good work these people do. Annoying as they might be to us civilians when we are on our way to work, a smile and a small donation really doesn't cost that much.
A couple of weeks ago we tested the idea in Central London with volunteers and friends wearing Hug a Chugger T-shirts to raise attention to the fundraisers on location.

"HUG A CHUGGER", "I'M WITH GOOD" and "DON'T SAY SORRY TO THE CHUGGER, SAY YES" were some of the slogans created by local artists and students in the Conspiracy for Good.

Sounds nerdy? Well it worked, and the feedback was so positive there will be another HUG A CHUGGER ground action on the 18 June. So come join us at Leicester Sq., 2PM Friday June 18th where T-shirts will be handed out. Meet some nice and sincere Chuggers and help support the cause! And don't forget to keep an eye out for the upcoming CFG online store at culturelabel.com, to be launched from the 25th June. Buy a tee there and we guarantee the proceeds will go to a good cause.

Chuggers are scum and they are NOT charity workers. These bastards make about £8 an hour some of them also make commision. They are nothing but aggresive sales people who are out to make money for themselves.

I despise them. I am pestered by these filthbags several times a day because I work in a city centre. They should be fuckig shot at dawn all of them.

@gaelicscots A lot of them are university students at top London unis needing the money to pay for uni costs. Other jobs overlook them or can't give them flexible hours because they are students. Beyond the ten seconds you see them those people have families, lives and problems outside of the 'chugging' you see. They should be respected as people as much as anyone.
