Cliff died but music made him immortal. This song was recorded by Metallica in 1988 in the great "...and justice for all" album, their first album after bassist Cliff Burton's death, and it was their last song with Cliff's contributions in lyrics or music. Togheter with Orion, this song will always have a special meaning to people like me who where discovering music, heavy metal and playing the electric guitar at those times. With emotion and gratefulness.
RIP Cliff Burton, with Layne and Chuck another hero we've lost too early.

  • You have made a youtuber happy. :D

  • Chuck Schuldiner (guitars, vocals) of Death and Layne Staley of Alice in Chains (vocals), were the leaders of two of my other favourite bands along with Metallica, and they both died very early just like Cliff.
