Part 1 of 3. Helpful website: www.mehandi.com. In this vid I explain what henna is, its benefits, type to use and prep. This henna was prepared using orange juice and olive oil. Any other acidic liquid could have been used as well (grapefruit, lemon, acv, etc). After I prepared this batch I let it sit in a warm place (stove) for 4 hours. You could also let the henna sit over night and then apply to hair the next day. Vid is also packed with useful information for you to have a glorious henna experience also!

  • oh okay lol ima try it!! looks like fun

  • Yay! Make the most of it and let me know if you have any other questions :)

  • what is henna???

  • Henna comes from small shrubs called Lawsonia, native to the Middle East, West Asia, and North Africa. Its used for body art as well as hair conditioning. Its an alternative way to color your hair (reddish/brown) and it adds strength and body to the hair. Hope that answers your question. Let me know if you have more...I love talking about henna!

  • Thanks for the video... I did the henna and got great results. My gray is covered (horay) and I am loving the results after 3days. The initial color of my gray was brassy. Next time I will add a small aount of indigo. Will be trying this on my daughters hair.

  • I'm so glad you had good results. I recently did another application myself. It was great! I think I want to try the indigo as well some day.

  • Thank you for this video!!!!!!

  • thank u thank u so bein so prompt on ur responses..will let u know how it goes.

  • I don't think there is any harm in keeping it in overnight. However, be mindful of the henna drying out, which makes it extremely difficult to rinse out later. I suggest covering your hair to make sure no air can enter and no heat can escape. You want the hair to remain warm and moist. You may even want to make the temperature slightly warm in your house so the henna won't dry out. Hope this was helpful. Let me know of any other questions you have :)
