This incisive program examines the situations that inner-city youth faced when it was produced in 1991, and that many still face today, and illustrates alternatives to the macho behavior code that many young men feel compelled to practice. What makes the program widely relevant today is that children in every American high school face similar situations and pressures on a daily basis. The program explores options beyond the fight-or-flight choice commonly recognized during any challenge or confrontation. Winner of a Silver Apple at the National Educational Film & Video Festival.
