I made a fresh quill pen from apparently a pigeon or a mockingbird flight feather.

  • Carved out, and this person REALLY needs to learn how to both hold a pen and write in cursive. These are the marks a 3 year old child would make with what you have called a feather "quill." Basically, this does much more to detract from the world of using a feather quill than it does to glamorize or make it desirable.

  • @Brussells44 You really should see my cursive when I write with a better pen, it's really good because I use my fingertips more than my wrists.

  • The feather is much to small to do anyone much good, the nib/ tip needs to be formed/carved o

  • @Brussells44 I did make the nib, the only problem was that the feather might have been too dry when I made the nip, so it cracked in several places. However, I am having better luck with reeds.

  • If you had problems with the pen, you could've filmed after you got a better one, instead of posting retarded crap like this. Seriously, even the way you hold the pen is wrong.

  • @PianoBoy813 You're very sloppy with your grammar.

  • OBAMAAA!

  • I think it's cool that you attempted this. Ignore the negative crap.

  • @aspie101 using your fingers isn't what makes good cursive... I've always been taught to write from the shoulders and forearm. Cursive is much easier and neater to achieve coming from the shoulders, and very rarely moving your fingers/ wrist.

  • @aspie101 Just using your fingertips more than your wrists isn't a valid point to make... My cursive is has been described as shakespearean and I very rarely move my fingers or wrist... I've always been told the "propper" way to write is one, holding a pen correctly, and two it comes from your forearm and shoulders... Cursive is much easier coming from the shoulders.

  • Sorry, I just read your answers to other posts. OK, you had problems with the pen and you had only one hand to write. Don't hate me for my former post...

  • @aspie101

You should see my works, when I use a broken toothpick. Still better than that. I don't want to insult you, but why did you post this vid?

  • Oh, for gods sake... It hurts me, while i'm watching. Are you lefthanded, normally? Please, keep on searching for your talents. It's not writing... Sorry

  • @aspie101 You're not supposed to use your fingertips or your wrists to write. You're supposed to use your forearm and shoulder.
